Description |
Stone is a carved head brownish gray stone with 2 deep-set eyes, remnants of a nose (2 upturned nostrils left) on top of head remnant of 2 top knots. forehead smoothly curved "eyebrow" area low set, back of head missing. Relic of De Los Indies, Santo Domingo graves in Caustanza Valley. Found in the graces under the head of the Caustanza Valley. These relics (?is there more than on? 01/09/1978) are of great age and are all that is left of the five million people who inhabited this land at the time Columbus landed in 1492 |
